Easter Break for the London Family

Ok, so having school children home for over two weeks over easter break , whilst juggling a business, is no easy task. I could quite easily snuggle with them on the sofa watching Netflix and snack on popcorn, but that's only good for one movie (maybe two, if I'm lucky)

I'm also not a parent that has a strict regime whilst they are home, it's definitely nice for them to unwind from school, but having a softly structured easter break works for us.

One thing my children love is a playdate and I love a mother's meeting with a coffee in hand! so that will be a Win Win!

Aside from this, I do have a few things up my sleeve to do with them before all our energy runs out.

Take a look below at the slides for my take on easter in London...

Alice Holt Forest - Hampshire

Giant Marble Run

This will be the first time visiting Alice Holt, but I have heard good things about this beautiful place. Set in 247 Hectors of forest, you really take in the beautiful scenery.

My children love to build marble runs at home and Alice Holt has just announced it has a new life sized Marble run made out of Pine wood. You have to purchase the wooden marbles separately, but you get to keep them for future visits!

The run has six different zones and is over a mile long, so will keep your littles busy for a while...

Easter Egg Hunt

20th April 2025 from 11am to 4pm

The Windmill

(SW19 5NR)

Wimbledon Common is by far one of my favs, although I'm biased being a local resident.

The windmill and Tea rooms is set back amongst the beautiful common, with ample free car parking alongside for anyone with young children and needing the ease of a smooth transition :)

Starting opposite the Windmill, follow the trails and hunt the Commons for the hidden wooden Easter Eggs, then collect your prize at the end. My boys love a hunt and then finish off at the tearooms having a cake & hot choc.

no fixed start times.
