A London Family Photoshoot
If you are considering a family photoshoot but want something a little different, a 'Street Photography' Family photoshoot may be a good option.
Not only does it keep young children who love exploring on the go and engaged, London sure does have a good mix of different back streets for your session. What's not to love than strolling through some quiet back streets of Central London.
Melissa and her family were on vacation from the states and wanted to capture the essence of London , but not just the usual landmarks. So as I do on all location sessions , I took to the streets of London prior for a scout around with a coffee in hand. And after some time, came across the back street of SW1, which seemed very apt with cobbled streets and gorgeous elizabethan town houses as the London back drop.
I also wanted to incorporate a couple of landmarks too, so they could take home a couple of the "tourist' must haves, which I organised to be at the beginning of the shoot early in the morning, to try and avoid the overcrowding around the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben to create a calmer session for all.
There is so many spots in London that can be used for your session, from the river Thames to the back streets of South Kensington to Notting Hill. London has so much inspiration and a true canvas for your next family photoshoot.
And once your session draws to a close, why not make being in London a day event! There is so much to do around South Bank for families, from the London Aquariurm, The London Eye, walking across the thames past Houses of Parliament and Big Ben all the way to Buckingham palace. Or even jumping on the clipper boat to see London from the water.
